At FinnFun Suomi School for Kids, children learn about the Finnish language and culture through fun and games.

With the guidance of our experienced teachers, FinnFun Suomi School is a place for kids to learn how kids learn the best: through play and guided activities!

What to expect?

What can you expect from FinnFun Suomi School?

Play-Based Learning: Suomi School is a kids club. Children learn the Finnish language through fun, crafts and engaging play activities. All our staff speak both Finnish and English, making Suomi School a great place to learn for kids coming from various backgrounds and Finnish language skills!
Guided Play and Activities: Through guided activities, such as music, play, and arts and crafts, kids explore Finnish culture, traditions, and customs while developing their language skills - and having fun!
Support Your Learning: We all know how fast you can lose a skill, such as speaking a language if you don’t practice it. This is why at FinnFun Suomi School, we want to inspire children to speak in Finnish by making our activities fun and making speaking Finnish as easy as possible.

FAQs

You can join FinnFun Suomi School every other Tuesday at the Scandinavian Centre in Burnaby. The classes start at 6 p.m. and are 2 hours long. The children that go to Muskari (that starts at 6pm), can also attend FinnFun Suomi School after their own class. At Suomi School the children learn Finnish language and culture through play.
FinnFun Suomi School is for children. However, parents can socialize and enjoy drinks and snacks at our common area during the class.
The fee for the upcoming School Year 2025-2026 is $250 per first child. The sibling discount is $50 per additional child. If you would like to discuss your unique situation, please send us an email at info.finnfun@gmail.com, and let’s chat!

FinnFun Suomi School is for families who want to support their children’s Finnish language skills and keep them connected with the Finnish culture through play with peers and guided activities.
Muskari fee is $150.
For both Muskari and Suomi School the fee is $250 per child.
For only Suomi School, the fee is $250.
Sibling discount $50 per child.
