Words from our Chairman of the Board
Greetings from the Chair of the Board,
Maintaining the Finnish language and culture abroad is very important - and also challenging. Things that belong to Finnishness such as language, customs, traditions, holidays and typical foods unite Finns abroad and all other people who are interested and enthusiastic about Finland and the Finnish language. The preservation of Finnishness in the world must be taken care of.
FinnFun is a Finnish school in the greater Vancouver area. School is too narrow and a bit misleading as a word and does not appropriately describe our activities. We offer fun activities for children and adults of all ages who are interested in the Finnish language and Finnishness, and we promote people's networking and thereby the well-being and growth of the Finnish community.
FinnFun was founded in 1985. 2025 will be our 40th anniversary! I warmly welcome you all to participate in FinnFun's activities and come along to come up with ideas and develop an even more fun Finnish school together!
Best wishes,
Tanja Sabell
